How to Fix Broken Makeup at Home

Are you looking for how to fix broken makeup? If your eyes look terrible after applying makeup for the first time, it may be due to broken powder pigments. In most cases, a little face powder remover and some old newspaper will do the trick. However, sometimes it’s easier to fix than to just get a new coat. Here are the steps on how to fix broken makeup using just a few materials.

Materials Needed. Three basic household items are all that are needed to fix broken powder pigments. A small spoon, some clean soft plastic wrap, and liquid rubbing alcohol. Now, let’s fix that busted makeup!

The first step is to collect the following broken pieces: the loose powder from the lip brush, the broken lipstick along the edge, and the brown paper tissue from the mascara wand. These are the only things you actually need to start fixing your makeup. Next, take the small spoon and slowly mix the alcohol and the rubbing alcohol together until you have a thin, even layer. This mixture is the base for your fix. Next, apply the alcohol/rubbing alcohol mixture to the entire surface area of your broken piece. Make sure to work slowly and gently.

Finally, you will need a clean, dry palate and a clean cotton cloth. The palette can be filled with mineral makeup if you so desire, and the cloth should be used to gently remove any excess alcohol or the mineral makeup. You can then apply your broken fix on your entire lid, inside corners, and along the lash line. Finish by applying a second layer of broken fix on the bottom half of your eye shadow palette. This will thicken your damaged eyelid lipstick.

After all of this has been done, you can go ahead and top your eye makeup with a little bit of your oil-based eye makeup primer. This way, you can ensure that your eye shadow primer will stick to your palette and your eyelid liner will stick to your eyelids. After all of this has been applied, you can go ahead and top with your highlighter shade or other eye brightener and you’re done. Your broken fix makeup should last for months.

When my beautiful niece was about eight years old, she had just started to get really bad stomach pains every time she ate. I knew this was nothing too serious, but it was getting on my nerves because she was eating a lot more than she should. I used to rub her stomach with my finger in order to help with the stomach pain. In addition, I would use my fingernail to lightly touch and feel where her spleen was to see if I could find a broken vein. While rubbing her stomach with my finger helped a little bit, rubbing alcohol worked far better and I wasn’t even sure where the spleen was any longer.
